Owlet's Gift of Peace

Hi loves! I’m so excited to share with you one of my favorite baby products that I received after Adair’s birth— the Owlet Smart Sock 2. This product truly has given John and me peace of mind as first time parents when Adair is sleeping at night. I honestly don’t know what it would have been like in the beginning had we not had this amazing product. Continue reading to learn more about the Smart Sock and why we love it!

The Owlet Smart Sock 2 gives parents (especially first time parents) peace of mind concerning their baby’s well being in so many ways. It’s extremely easy to use and very intuitive. There is an app that you download on your phone called Owlet Baby Care— this is where you receive live readings of your baby’s heart rate and oxygen level. Some nights I would lie in my bed staring at the live readings— so silly, I know! It really was fascinating to see Adair’s heart rate rise when she cried or drop when she was in deep sleep.

In addition to tracking Adair’s heart rate and oxygen levels, the Smart Sock also notifies you if your baby’s heart rate or oxygen levels fall outside the preset zones. Because we knew our phones would notify us, we were able to finally get some rest. We kept our phones and the base station by our bed at night. The base station is always lit when turned on. It glows green to let you know everything is okay but will notify with yellow, blue and red lights and sounds if something appears to be wrong.

I loved the Owlet app and I also paid for the Owlet Connected Care app which does even more. The Connected Care app is NOW FREE and iOS devices can download it for free in the App Store! Here are some of the amazing features:

  1. See total hours slept— review awake times & light vs. deep sleep

  2. View heart rate and oxygen averages— analyze highs & lows

  3. See trended heart rate & oxygen levels— view 24 hour or 1-month windows

  4. View what led to a red notification— archive of all red notifications

  5. Learn & receive information to help raise a healthy infant

  6. Instantly share any report or summary with your friend, family or doctor

Adair has never once complained about the sock or tried to take it off— it’s like she doesn’t even know it’s there which I feel is a huge plus! And the new pink color doesn’t hurt either :)

I’ll definitely be using the product with my future baby (or babies) and know that I will continue to have much desired peace of mind and rest.

Thank you, Owlet!
